As a Naperville resident with prior service as a captain in the U.S. Army in the Vietnam era, I was pleased to see a candidate with a history of military service running for mayor. Benny White has a long history of service to the community as a city councilman, member of the Police and Fire Commission and an elected school board member. He is the only candidate with significant prior elected experience. He can speak for all Naperville community members from the recently arrived new families to families like that of my wife who have lived in the community for 40 or more years.
